Ageless Film Festival this Sunday
Alongside the Right Honourable Adrienne Clarkson, celebrate freedom of expression with Ageless Film Festival this Sunday October 29. A screening of International Dawn Chorus (wherein birds from six continents join an online video call) will be followed by a panel discussion with:

Today, we feature Indian #filmmaker @leenamanimekalai. A queer feminist, her work naturally featured themes of gender disparity, caste cruelty, class struggles, and resistance—all of which are difficult to bring up in contemporary India. But nothing could prepare Leena for the uproar she would face for her short film Kaali, which depicts Leena herself dressed as the eponymous Hindu goddess, holding a pride flag and smoking a cigarette.
