Synopsis

Kaathadi/Kite is a hybrid film about a Tamil queer woman turning the lens to herself, becoming the text, decoding her search for radical love that can free herself from the bondages sanctioned by the past. It unravels a love memoir from the author's life weaved by poetry, dance, movement theatre, painting and documentary as embodied memories, battling various emotions from rage to violent delights in order to attempt breaking the chains of generational gendered trauma.
